Amaya Howard
Amaya Howard is a Counseling Psychology graduate student at Bowie State University with a strong interest in culturally responsive and client-centered care. She is passionate about supporting individuals as they navigate life stressors, emotional challenges, and personal growth.
Her clinical interests include anxiety, self-esteem, identity development, stress management, trauma-informed care, and relationship concerns. Amaya is committed to helping clients build coping skills, increase self-awareness, and develop healthier patterns that support long-term growth.
She was drawn to the counseling field by a desire to create safe, affirming spaces where people feel heard, valued, and empowered, and she believes in meeting clients where they are to foster healing and resilience.
Amaya is supervised by Dr. Briana DeNeal-Findley, LCSW-C,LICSW, LCSW.
