Nakia Adamson, LGPC
Nakia Adamson is a graduate of The George Washington University, where she earned a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She spent 12 years in education, working in post-secondary planning and concluding her career as a high school administrator. Nakia entered the counseling field after a deep desire to better understand and support students, particularly in response to the mental health disparities she observed shaped by cultural context, race, environment, and trauma. She has always been passionate about helping individuals understand, make meaning of, and heal from their personal stories.
Nakia currently accepts EAP and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy clients only. These services are typically short-term and limited to no more than 10 sessions. For EAP clients the exact number of sessions is determined by the clients plan.
